In compliance with Mexico’s Federal Law on the Protection of Personal Data Held by Private Parties (LFPDPPP), PlayitaMía (“we,” “us,” or “PlayitaMía”), located in Quintana Roo, Mexico, with contact email hello@playitamia.com, is responsible for the processing of your personal data.
1. Personal data we collect
To manage your booking and provide our concierge and tour services, we collect the following data:
- Full name
- Email address
- Phone / WhatsApp number
- Hotel or pickup location
- Requested tour date and language
- Payment transaction data (processed through our payment provider)
We do not collect sensitive personal data.
Important regarding payment data: deposit charges are processed through Stripe, our payment processor. PlayitaMía does not store or have access to your full card details; these are handled directly by Stripe under its own privacy policies and security standards (PCI-DSS).
2. Purposes of processing
Your personal data will be used for the following primary purposes, necessary for the service:
- Processing, confirming and managing your booking
- Coordinating tour logistics with the operating provider
- Sending your voucher and communications related to your booking
- Contacting you to confirm availability, start time and service details
- Handling inquiries, changes or cancellations
Secondarily, and only if you do not object, we may use your data to send you information about promotions or other experiences. You may object to these secondary purposes at any time by writing to hello@playitamia.com, without affecting the service you have booked.
3. Data transfer
In order to provide the service, we share strictly necessary data (name, number of people, date, language and pickup location) with the tour operating provider who carries out the experience. This transfer is necessary to fulfill the legal relationship between you and PlayitaMía, in accordance with Article 37 of the LFPDPPP.
We do not sell, rent or trade your personal data with third parties for purposes other than those described here.
4. ARCO Rights
You have the right to Access your personal data, Rectify inaccurate data, Cancel data you consider unnecessary, and Object to its processing (ARCO rights), as well as to revoke consent granted.
To exercise any of these rights, send your request to hello@playitamia.com, indicating your name, the right you wish to exercise, and the information concerned. We will respond within the timeframes required by law.
