Terms and Conditions
Last updated: October 31, 2026
In short: PlayitaMía is a recommendation and booking platform. You book online with a deposit in pesos and pay the balance in cash on the tour day, directly to the local operator who runs the experience. The deposit is non-refundable.
1. Who we are
PlayitaMía is a recommendation and booking platform for private and group experiences in the Riviera Maya and the Mexican Caribbean. We select experiences, show you the total price and handle your booking and deposit. Experiences are run by independent local tour operators.
Contact: hello@playitamia.com · Quintana Roo, Mexico.
2. How the service works
- PlayitaMía recommends the experience, shows you the total price for your group, charges the deposit online and handles your booking.
- The local operator confirms availability and the time, picks you up, runs the experience (transport, guide, activities and safety) and collects the balance.
The tour service is provided by the local operator; PlayitaMía acts as an intermediary for the booking and the deposit payment.
3. Bookings
- Bookings must be made at least 24 hours before departure.
- The date is subject to the operator’s availability. After paying you receive an email with your booking reference (it starts with PM-); once the operator confirms, you receive your voucher with the pick-up time.
- Please provide accurate details: name, email, language, number of people and pick-up place. Incorrect details may prevent the operator from finding you.
4. Prices and payments
- The deposit is paid online through Stripe by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay, and is charged in Mexican pesos (MXN). We do not add any fee for paying by card.
- Dollar prices on the site are for reference only; your bank applies its own exchange rate.
- The balance is paid in cash, in pesos, on the day of the experience, directly to the operator. The amount is shown before you pay and on your voucher.
- For private experiences, the price per person depends on the group size. Some group tours include a tax or fee paid in cash on the tour day; when it applies, it is shown before booking.
5. Cancellations and changes
These are governed by our Cancellation Policy, which forms part of these Terms. In short: the deposit is non-refundable; if the operator is not available or the tour cannot run because of weather or safety, we propose another date and your deposit is applied to it.
6. Group tours
Group tours are scheduled departures of up to 15 people. The operator confirms your spot on WhatsApp before any payment and tells you how to pay.
7. Transfers
Transfers are booked with our transport partner at paraisonthego.com and are subject to their own terms.
8. What we ask of you as a traveler
- Be at the pick-up point at the confirmed time. The driver waits 20 minutes.
- Follow the safety instructions of the guide and the operator.
- Tell us before booking if anyone in your group has a relevant health condition. Some experiences (for example, the temazcal or water activities) are not recommended during pregnancy or with certain health conditions.
- Minors must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
9. Support
For help with your booking or payment, visit our help center or write to hello@playitamia.com; we reply by email within 24 hours. Questions about the tour itself (time, pick-up, what to bring) are handled directly with the operator on WhatsApp.
10. Liability
Running the experience is the local operator’s responsibility. PlayitaMía is not liable for injuries, losses, damages or delays arising from the operation of the tour, the weather, force majeure or failure to follow safety instructions. Where applicable, PlayitaMía’s liability is limited to the amount of the deposit paid. Nothing in these Terms limits your rights under the Mexican Federal Consumer Protection Law.
11. Intellectual property
The text, design, brand, logo and own photographs on this site belong to PlayitaMía and may not be reproduced without permission.
12. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms; the current version is the one published on this page with its date. Each booking is governed by the Terms in force when it was paid.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Mexican States. Any dispute will be submitted to the competent courts of the state of Quintana Roo, without prejudice to your right to contact the Federal Consumer Protection Agency (Profeco).
By booking with PlayitaMía you confirm that you have read and accept these Terms and Conditions, the Cancellation Policy and the Privacy Notice. This is a translation; if there is any difference, the Spanish version prevails.
